My mother was a heavy smoker. When my mother was dying of lung cancer in Palliative care, I made a number of sketches of her. I did not do anything with the sketches for several years, then I made a silkscreen about loss called Never Easy. This animation is based on the image from that print. My mother died of lung cancer in 1993, it took me another 6 years to successfully quit smoking myself. Buyers beware. (this was a segment in an earlier video).
