If the tax on cigarettes is for the public health system, why aren’t they providing smoking cessation aids?
If the cigarette tax is supposed to deter people from smoking, why aren’t they using any of the revenue from the tax to provide low income people that use the public health system with smoking cessation aids to help them quit?
If they truly wanted people to quit, wouldn’t it make sense to provide those that can’t afford 7 a month on chantix or on patches or gum those products to help them quit?
Are they truly interested in helping people quit or is this just a money grab from people with an addiction?
